Thank you for your giving towards our new warehouse and phone center. Our goal
is $250,000.00 and we are well on our way to achieving this goal. To date, we
have received $178,966.88
and are very excited about this project. As I stated in
our previous letter, we are growing and cannot meet the need in our present
facility.
We are asking our friends and partners to help with this financial need because
our local Church body carries so much of the financial weight of this ministry.
Some of the congregation in Durant have given into this need, and for that we
are grateful. This teaching ministry, that affects and influences people all
over the world, is too big for a local church to support alone. It takes our
friends and partners joining with us to meet the needs and reach the world. It
is our “missions outreach” and lives are being touched by the thousands.
We will be posting the giving and weekly progress of our facility and phone
center on our website (www. dsheriff. org). Pictures will be available as the
project progresses, so you can share in the completion of these goals.
We have almost reached the point where we have the finances to begin the
reconstruction of our current building. To those of you who are praying for this
project, we say thankyou and ask that you keep standing with us. To those of you
who are waiting to see if your gift matters or is needed, you don’t have wait
any more! It IS needed and it really DOES matter! I know I have waited when
asked by other ministries for help to see if they truly needed my help. But
there have been other times when I believe the Lord has led me to give
regardless.
I believe God is raising up ministries and voices to prepare His people for the
challenges and difficulties that are on the horizon. I’m just one of many who
are sharing God’s love and word (the Truth) that changes people’s lives. It
concerns me as I see more and more pastors being swayed to be “politically
correct” and not being bold, speaking the truth in love.
Our country has been weakened because of a lack of truth. God’s people (the
church) are weak in our witness because of this. I’ve seen the power and fruit
of God’s word changing lives – on a daily basis. That’s why I’m in the process
of producing home group material to help more people make disciples. These
messages are the things the Lord has taught me and will be in 20-minute
sessions. They are more like a one-on-one teaching – as if you and I were
sitting down together, sharing about this subject. We are preparing a leader’s
manual and student’s guide included with the DVDs, as well. In addition to all
of that, I’m also working on my first book (more details to come).
Our new series, called “Being Established in Righteousness,” will help prepare
you for the challenging times ahead. Isaiah 54:14 declares that the by-product
of God’s righteousness in our lives is freedom from fear, oppression and terror.
WOW! With the uncertainty of the economy, the Middle East being so unstable, and
terrorism a very real threat in every part of the world (just to mention a few),
God’s people need to be established in righteousness now, more than ever before.
I know this series will strengthen your faith and settle your resolve to trust
God even more. Isaiah 54:17 promises believers that “no weapon formed against
you will prosper….” God’s righteousness by faith is like a shield that protects
us from all weapons the enemy forms against you. Things still may gather against
us, but not by God – and they will not prevail.
The Lord is leading Sue and I to reach out to more people, and because of that
leading, we have to prepare for the response. This new facility is vital to us
being able to be more effective in our outreach. We cannot expand the ministry
without preparing to meet the need. This facility and phone center will more
than double our ability to provide people with the materials that will make a
difference in their lives, and sow God’s word in their hearts.
Below is a review of our goals & needs.
1. Renovate our existing warehouse to accommodate pastoral and counseling staff
to enhance efficiency.
2. Renovate a second building that will enable us to double our warehouse and
production.
3. Increase our production equipment to distribute God’s Word more efficiently,
with better quality.
4. Launch our new phone center that will help us serve people in prayer,
counseling and ordering life-changing materials.
